Daniel Ferrel
Hello, I’m Daniel Ferrel. I was born and raised in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where, due to the geography and lifestyle, I had a lot of space and time to explore different places and develop a creative and adventurous side that remains with me to this day.
After moving to California for high school in 2016, I ended up going to a local climbing gym where my sister’s college friend introduced my brother and me to the sport. I was hooked immediately; it provided a perfect challenge, both mental and physical, that forced me to push myself beyond what I thought was possible.
Since then, I started climbing indoors regularly for the next three years, realizing how much I loved to climb and the community that came with it. Everyone was super friendly and encouraging, even giving me a free pair of shoes when mine had holes in them.
Now I’m focusing my climbing goals outdoors in hopes of sending some of the great routes around Southern California with great friends I’ve made along the way. I currently work full time as a personal trainer, which gives me a lot of flexibility to keep training and go on climbing trips for fun times and big sends.
I’m super excited to be a Flashed Athlete this season and for all the climbing to come!!
