Ivan Luo
Ivan Luo started climbing at the age of 6, and after trying a top rope climb for the first time, he started begging his parents to get him a membership at the local climbing gym. Ivan started to compete just after 2 years of climbing. Since then, Ivan has competed from local competitions to international competitions. He has competed in 8 different countries and 3 continents.
Aside from being a competitive climber, Ivan enjoys spending his time bouldering in Squamish last summer. He had climbed his highest outdoor bouldering grade, V13. Not only did he climb 1, but he also climbed 3 of them, all in the most famous climbing destination, Squamish BC!
Ivan was born in China and moved to Vancouver, BC, with his family at 11, but that didn’t stop Ivan from climbing. His passion for climbing kept on rising, and he always has a smile on when he’s in the climbing gym. When Ivan isn’t training in the gym or climbing in Squamish, he spends his time playing basketball with friends or going on food adventures.
After watching fellow Flashed teammates Sean and Alannah crush aAlannah’s020 Tokyo Olympics, Ivan has a big goal. He wants to join them alongside at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!
