Maintenance
How to Care For Your Pads
Climbing Gym Padding takes a severe beating and high impact, and it should be expected that padding maintenance will be required throughout the lifespan of the product. Keeping on top of scheduled maintenance will have your padding performing and looking its best for the long term.
Wear & Tear
The top layer of your padding system is what people notice first, and keeping it clean with regular vacuuming will maintain aesthetic quality and comfort. Holes or tears may happen, and it is best to patch or cover them as soon as possible to stop them from increasing in size. Prevention is the way to overcome this. Take care with volumes, holds, ladders, and tools when route setting. Keeping the padding tight by readjusting the cover panels is helpful. Ask us how the best way to do that, depending on your cover type. We’ll also walk you through this during installation, so you have the tools and knowledge to address it on the fly.
Velcro Strips
Our custom Velcro strips are designed to take a beating and protect the cover panels’ connection points. If the fabric and Velcro on the strips start to come apart, please let us know as soon as possible. Velcro strip sewing repairs are free for the life of your product (including the return shipping, so you just need to get them to us). Routinely monitor your bouldering area, especially in spots with high impact or traffic (for example, downclimbs), and we can recommend how to keep these areas at their best.
Cleaning
Doing regular cleaning and maintenance checks will keep your padding systems looking and performing optimally. Contact us about Reporting and Maintenance services. We can come to your gym to give your padding professional attention and repair any items that need to be addressed.
