Born out of the forests of Squamish, where big holes and sharp talus are common, having a big landing surface to span the gaps and thick to soak in the edgy things is a game-changer. Focus more on the challenge of the climb and know the Big Squishy Pad has got your back.
The Big Squishy Crash Pad includes a multi-pad carrying system built into the closure straps, so you can easily carry multiple crash pads without extra straps or flaps. In addition, if you tighten the closure straps on the back side while the crash pad opens, this engages FLAT MODE, which helps your pad resist folding in on itself. This is especially useful on uneven landing surfaces.
No need to pay for comfort. All of our crash pads come standard with padded shoulder and waist belts and include a sternum strap, and stabilizer straps up top for extra stability.
In our effort to reduce plastic and build gear that will last a lifetime, all the hardware is made of metal, including on the waist belt, and there are no more broken plastic buckles.

Have you ever wanted to flop on your back from the top of your 20 foot highball project? Yeah me neither but with this bad boy I feel like I could! Defiinatly helps my confidence on sketchy or high-consequence boulders. It also doubles as a great mattress 😉 Highly recommend.

Wow this is one of the best pads for coverage, carrying gear, and additional foam. With Flashed bespoke option you can add what ever design you like and really make it your own!

Amazing for solo bouldering sessions due to its larger size but still folds up really easily and is easy/comfortable to transport. I love that the additional foam makes it extra squishy (hence the name) and I feel very safe being able to fall onto it on taller boulders.

Simply put: there is no better pad on the market than the big squishy. There are so many thoughtful design elements of this pad that distinguish it from it’s competitors, including:
— Lighter in weight (than pads of the same size and thickness)
— More comfortable / better carrying system (hip belt and shoulder straps)
— All metal hardware (no broken plastic buckles, hooks, or tighteners! these always break on my other pads)
— VERY easy to bundle other pads / gear on
After having a big squishy I wouldn’t consider buying a different pad, and I wouldn’t recommend any other pad to a friend!
